Lightning in a Bottle: 2016 Lineup Revealed

lineup The start of a new year is always an opportunity to set resolutions and dive into different adventures. For festival go-ers, this is also a time to plan out what events to attend in 2016, and to follow through with those sayings of “i’ll definitely be attending that fest next year!”

Lightning in a Bottle, a multi-dimensional event that takes place in Bradley, California, is a one that will see many returning attendees this year, and also gain an immense amount of first timers. With such a diverse array of activities to engage in, this event is one that many can enjoy, regardless of the personal reasons of wanting to attend. With music being a main factor for many, the lineup that the team over at the Do LaB has put together for LiB 2016 proves that we are all in for a treat...

Lightning in a Bottle’s three stages will be graced by multiple spectrums of talent from May 25-30th. The Lightning Stage, which last year was brought to life by SBTRKT, Odesza, Flume, and Tycho, will this year be revived again by heavy-hitters Jamie XX, Grimes, Chet Faker, Moderat, Tourist, and of course, the gracious return of William Close & The Earth Harp Collective and Lucient Dossier Experience. With so much talent already revealed in the top portion of the lineup flyer, it only gets better from there.

The Thunder Stage, which was newly introduced at LiB 2015, verified that it was a perfect place to catch artists under its shady structure. RL Grime, Stwo, G Jones, and Snakehips, to name a few, threw down some fantastic sets there last year. For 2016, we can expect Tokimonsta, Eprom, Desert Dwellers, Mr. Carmack, Ekali, Thriftworks, and more to do the same.

If your heart yearns for house and techno, the Woogie is the spot to be. With previous artists like Shiba San, Fur Coat, Bob Moses, and John Digweed, the Woogie lineup for this year follows the pattern of great artists to satisfy all of your heart’s desires. Four Tet, Guy Gerber, Lee Burridge, Lane 8, Jonas Rathsman and more are all set to provide the beats that move your soul.

With a lineup this dynamic, it’s almost easy to forget that the Do LaB has many more facets to add to the experience.
