I have to admit that at first I wasn’t a huge fan of camping festivals. The thought of being in the middle of some farm or field, no showers, mud and sharing dirty port –a- potties for a few days was horrific to me. Then finally I was convinced to try one and I have been hooked ever since. It IS a lot to put up with but the music experience is undeniable, the feeling of a community is great and you will have some of the best memories to share later. If you haven’t been to one before, I suggest trying the Summer Set Music & Camping Festival located in Wisconsin.

While there are a ton of EDM only music festivals out there, you should get familiar with festivals that offer a wide range of music. Summer Set strives in this area as attending this festival you get a mix of indie, hip hop, jam bands and of course some of edm’s TOP acts that will satisfy your edm craving and more. Of course with all of that talent in one place, the 3 days will fly by quickly and you will be hoping for the next festival to come around sooner.

The lineup this year is incredible and I have no doubt in my mind that this festival will sell out. For all of the hip hop fans that would love to see some amazing talent, all the original members of Bone Thugs – N – Harmony will be giving us a performance. Action Bronson and Ghostface Killah will also be there, ready to give you a great dose of talent.

Other great talent includes TheWeeknd who is one of the top R&B singers right now, Die Antwoord from South Africa that is gaining a lot of hype and Trippy Turtle, who you should definitely go check out if you haven’t seen them before as you will witness an amazing show.

Summer Set didn’t skimp on the EDM either. This year has deadmau5 making an appearance, Bassnectar and Big Gigantic returning for their fourth year at the festival along with Odesza, Zeds Dead, Borgeous, Jauz and so many more! With this lineup of talent I think this year is going to be a great year for Summer Set and one you definitely don’t want to miss.
