Some years back, a mysterious man entered the DJ world bringing a fresh new style of music and a brand to go with it. Completely concealed by all black clothes and a tiny gold mask, the mystery behind this artist is almost as intriguing as the music he creates. The artist I’m talking about is UZ, one of the earliest trap music pioneers whose identity is still a mystery.

Emerging into the scene back in 2012, UZ’s early releases gained him an immediate fan base. His music quickly became recognized as something different but extravagant, getting him label recognition by the likes of Mad Decent, OWSLA, Mau5trap, and more. His Trap Shit series features a collaboration of rap artists and producers alike. UZ never fails to disappoint with new sounds and ways of applying minimalistic sound structure into something much bigger.
