Get Spooky With us in Florida: Suwannee Hulaween

Ready for a different type of Halloween this year? On October 28-30, 2016 your next GO-TO festival is Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, Florida USA. Coming onto the scene a few years ago, Suwannee Hulaween features a wide range of EDM artists that make it the IT Halloween party to attend in the South. Halloween costumes, and spooky vibes required.

In collaboration with the art director from Electric Forest, Suwannee Hulaween is also featured in a forest setting with twisted branches, lights, and decorative murals. Expanding to over 20,000 festival goers in 2015, this year should be even bigger! All including pre-parties, campsites, canoeing, silent discos, and more.

As the festival is nearest Jacksonville, Florida - You have the amazing opportunity of having your sunniest, warmest Halloween to date! Festival aside, there’s lots more to get into in this southern city to completely occupy your weekend.

1.     Hanna Park: Music festival during the two day spread, and then getting some TLC after much needed dancing and befriending on the beach. Hanna Park is a popular park with Florida wildlife, surfing, and sand stretching across 1.5 miles.

2.     Friendship Fountain: As for an after festival activity, you couldn’t come up with a better name for an attraction. Friendship Fountain can be found in downtown Jacksonville. In it’s early days, it was the tallest and largest fountain and is recognized as Jacksonville’s most popular sight. Recently undergoing a 3.2 million dollar renovation to the fountain itself and the surrounding park, this is not to be missed.

3.     Jacksonvilles Zoo and Gardens: Sitting at the mouth of Trout River, Jacksonville’s Zoo features over 2,400 animals, and 1,000 plants in it’s collection. Covering over 100 acres, this area is renowned enough to attract over 900,000 visitors a year.

As Halloween is typically held in anticipation of cool nights, warm drinks, parties, and loads of candy - This event is an incredibly exciting mix up to what we’re used to. Jacksonville’s weather in October is known to be 85*F and hotter, with the skies being clear! So book your plane tickets, plan your costume - What’s the best part of Halloween for you?
