Ah festivals, a time to discover yourself through music, meet amazing people and have some of the best days of your life. There are hundreds of amazing festivals throughout the U.S and only so much money in one’s bank account. Here just a FEW of the must go to festivals in the states that makes seeing single digits on that bank statement totally worth it.

When: Labor Day weekend
2016 lineup

For three days the heart of New York City is transformed from the hustle and bustle of city life into a full scale electronic festival. Over labor day weekend Randall’s Island is host to 100,000 festival goers and monster lineups with top DJs from around the world. Electric Zoo 2016 saw some of the best headliners around. The talent this year was so insane the animals took over the zoo. New York met the untamable forces of nature and it resulted in a truly wild island.

Between June 23-26th Rothbury Michigan is absorbed in twinkle lights and turned into a mystical fantasy world. Covered in art and surrounded by travelling performances this Insomniac event is not one to miss. Next year, Electric Forest is planned to expand over to two weekends, however still planning on bringing a unique experience to each attendee. The woodland area is lit up in color explosions from the festival’s visual shows, creating a truly unforgettable experience. Beyond the intricate art, Electric Forest boasts a specially curated lineup for music lovers of all genres. 

SnowGlobe

Music and mountains, what more can one ask for. The SnowGlobe music festival offers an unforgettable experience for skiers, snowboarders and music lovers alike. Known for selling out months before the festival dates, Snowglobe has become one of the most iconic New Years Eve events on the West Coast, promising to ring the New Year in with popular talent. This South Lake Tahoe festival combines the top artists with top snow conditions.

EDC Las Vegas

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas brings the best of the best in electronic music. From June 17-19 the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is filled with peace, love, unity and respect.
